Crown Family School Faculty and Students Recognized with Prestigious Honors at 2025 SSWR Conference

The Society for Social Work and Research (SSWR) recognized many members of the social service-focused organization during the 2025 Annual SSWR Conference, held January 15-19, 2025, in Seattle, Washington. Honorees included the newest class of SSWR fellows, composed of 21 members recognized for their individual accomplishments, leadership, and contributions to SSWR as a scientific society, including two Crown Family School scholars.  

Gina Fedock, PhD, Crown Family School associate professor, and Durrell Washington, Sr., Crown Family School doctoral student, were included in the 2025 Class of SSWR Fellows. The professional organization honored the scholars for being role models and mentors for individuals pursuing careers in social work research.  

SSWR recognized Hyojin Cho, Crown Family School post-doctoral scholar, with an honorable mention for the 2025 SSWR Outstanding Social Work Doctoral Dissertation Award on the topic, “The Changing Quality of Human Service Jobs in an Era of Increasing Competition and Uncertainty.” 

SSWR is a nonprofit organization that supports social service professionals, including social workers, social welfare professionals, social work students, faculty, and researchers in related fields.
