The Crown Family School Alumni Awards Committee is excited to announce this year’s recipients of the following awards:
The Elizabeth Butler Award celebrates a recent graduate who has shown remarkable potential and dedication to the social services sector. Named after Elizabeth Butler, whose ethos emphasizes the value professionals bring to their roles beyond their accomplishments, this award honors those who have demonstrated extraordinary career success, advocacy for social welfare, and exemplary leadership within ten years of graduating from the Crown Family School. This year’s award recipients are Ashley Cureton, AM ’10, PhD ’19 and Camesha Jones-Brandon, AM ’16.
The Volunteer Leadership Award is a heartfelt expression of our gratitude towards our alumni who have selflessly given their time and resources to positively impact the Crown Family School. Through their unwavering commitment, our alums have contributed positively, bringing about change and inspiring service and philanthropy. We are deeply proud to honor and recognize their contributions, hoping their passion inspires others to follow in their footsteps. This year’s award recipient is Marshall Jacobson, AM ’65.
The Milestone Achievement Award is a beacon of inspiration for Crown Family School alumni from milestone reunion classes. It recognizes their exceptional contributions to the field of social work, outstanding performance in clinical or administrative practice, and a strong commitment to improving social well-being. This year’s award recipients are Corinne Francis, AM ’00, Keisha Keith, AM ’15, and Edwin Martinez, AM ’15.
The Distinctive Innovation in Social Services Award celebrates visionary social service agencies and programs embodying the school's mission through innovative approaches and practices. This year’s award recipient is Definition Theatre, Executive Director Neel McNeill, AM ’22 (SSL).
