Shereen is an AM/PhD student at The Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice. She graduated from Crown with an A.M. in social work. She previously received her M.A in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis on drama therapy from California Institute of integral Studies. Shereen has previously worked with Palestinians who have experienced complex trauma - mainly sexual assault trauma. Her research interests include mental health conceptualization and accessibility for marginalized populations, gendered barriers to mental health, mental wellness, and the colonization of mental health. She is also a fellow of the Center of Health Administration Studies.
