Whether you've already decided to attend or are still trying to make your final decision, we invite admitted students to attend Admitted Student Day and experience our campus community firsthand. Admitted Student Week will provide you with an opportunity to: 

  • Connect with current and incoming students, as well as alumni
  • Hear from faculty across a wide range of policy areas
  • Learn about student support resources
  • See what unique opportunities we offer for your field practicum

Admitted Student Day will take place on April 5 at Edith Abbott Hall (969 E 60th St., Chicago, IL) on the University of Chicago's Hyde Park campus.

  • What time will check-in begin? Check-in will open at 8:30 AM in the lobby of Edith Abbott Hall. Please allow additional time to arrive and check-in. Nametags will be distributed at the check-in table.
  • Will there be refreshments/food served for attendees? Light refreshments will be served between 8:30 AM and 9:00 AM. Box lunches will be served at Noon. Additional refreshments will served between 3:30 PM and 4:30 PM during the Social Hour that closes out the day.
  • Can I bring a guest? Attendance for Admitted Student Day is limited to our admitted students.
  • Will sessions be recorded? Yes. All Admitted Student Day sessions will be recorded and made available online. Check back here for recordings. 
  • Is there parking available? How can I attend using public transit? Free street parking is available along the Midway for attendees driving to campus. There also several University owned and operated parking lots in the vicinity. The Chicago Transit Authority's Cottage Grove Green Line station is located half a mile from Edith Abbott Hall at 63rd St. and Cottage Grove Avenue.   • Is the event accessible for attendees with disabilities and those with limited mobility? Edith Abbott Hall is compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and has several ramps and elevators to accommodate the mobility needs of all attendees.
