Applications are now open for the 2023/2024 cohort of the University of Chicago Obama Foundation Scholars Program
Applications are now open for the 2023/2024 cohort of the University of Chicago Obama Foundation Scholars Program.
Crown Family School students entering the last year of their master’s program are invited to apply for this program, a joint initiative developed by the University and the Obama Foundation for promising civic leaders who want to make an impact on pressing issues facing their communities. Beginning in September 2023, this one-year, co-curricular program will bring together a third cohort of students from the Crown Family School, the Harris School, and the Booth School, offering an opportunity for interdisciplinary collaboration.
Programming is co-led by the University and the Foundation and seeks to help students refine plans and apply leadership skills as they address specific problems and opportunities on the South Side of Chicago and in other communities worldwide. All participating students will receive $10,000 of financial support in the form of stipends to defray tuition costs and living expenses in their final year.
Please encourage all interested and eligible master’s students to apply. The deadline for applications is March 21, and the program will begin in early September 2023. A UChicago Obama Foundation Scholars Program Lunch and Info Session, for UChicago students only, will be held on February 28, 2023. Registration is required.
