Crown Family School's Career and Leadership Development, in collaboration with Alumni Relations, presents Leading through Identity. Join alum professionals as they share their career journeys and how they navigate them through an identity-focused lens. The event is a professional relationship-building opportunity featuring a panel discussion, affinity breakout rooms, and a social mixer.

Vice President, Community Relations Market Manager Citi, Community Investing and Developing

Michelle Agunloye is a Community Relations Market Manager within Citi’s Community, Investing, and Development division. She is a community engagement professional with a passion to serve and build meaningful connections. In her career as an engagement and community relations professional, she has led outreach and community development services for hundreds of communities across the State of Illinois. In addition, she has served on Boards of the Chicago Urban League’s Metropolitan Board and is currently on the Associates Board of Ladder Up.

Michelle holds a Bachelor's in Sociology and Anthropology from Denison University and is an alum of the Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice.

Her extracurricular activities include exploring Chicago’s vibrant neighborhoods and running for fun in her spare time. She just completed the 2022 Chicago Marathon.

Vice President of Community Engagement JP Morgan Chase

Cindy Camacho is the Vice President of Community Engagement at JPMorgan Chase. Cindy is a leader committed to racial and economic justice and brings over 15 years of experience in the non-profit, policy, and philanthropic sectors. Before joining JPMorgan Chase, Cindy was the Director of Programs at the Julian Grace Foundation. She executed grantmaking strategies and capacity-building programming that supported over 100 non-profit organizations yearly. Her diverse background includes working as a grantmaker at the Polk Bros. Foundation, providing clinical counseling at Metropolitan Family Services, and managing education programs at Family Service of Lake County. At the Latino Policy Forum, she advocated for equitable city and state-level policies for Latine communities.

Cindy earned an M.A. in Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago’s Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice, an Executive Scholar Certificate in Leadership and Non-Profit Management from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, and a B.A. in Sociology from Oberlin College.

Executive Director of Research and Strategic Initiatives-Harry S Truman College

Sean-Lamar Hudson, AM’14, is the Executive Director of Research and Strategic Initiatives at Harry S Truman College, one of the City Colleges of Chicago. He leads the college’s institutional research and effectiveness activities, strategic initiatives, and partnership development. He is also a part-time lecturer at the University of Chicago – Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy and Practice and a Board Member for Youth Guidance.

Mr. Hudson is a native of Bessemer, Alabama. As a former foster care youth, he advocated for more robust support for students connected to foster care. Through his work with other state leaders, students connected to foster care can attend any public college or university tuition-free. One of his current focuses is advocating for strong equity-conscious policies for Black and LBTQ+ undergraduate students.

He is pursuing a Ph.D. in Higher Education Research and Strategic Policy at Illinois State University. He earned a Bachelor’s of Social Work from the University of Alabama and a Master’s of Arts in Social Service Policy and Research from the University of Chicago.

Co-Founder and Executive Director-Centro Sanar

Edwin Martinez, MSW, is the co-founder and executive director of Centro Sanar, a transformative force in community-based mental health. A proud first-generation Latino-American, Edwin hails from the vibrant streets of Chicago, infusing his work with a deep connection to his roots in Guerrero, Mexico.

A trailblazer in his family, Edwin holds a Master's in Social Work from the University of Chicago, Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice, specializing in Clinical Social Work. Since 2015, he's worn many hats—supervisor, mental health therapist, case manager, and youth outreach specialist—guiding adults and families on their journey to healing and prosperity.

Proficient in Spanish, Edwin crafts healing spaces grounded in violence prevention, restorative justice, and mutual aid frameworks. Born and bred in Chicago, he's committed to reshaping community mental health. Collaborating with colleagues, Edwin is pioneering a transformative model that challenges the norms of the current mental health industry—a model focused on resilience, empowerment, and genuine community care.
