Harm reduction offers a compassionate and practical approach to promoting individual and community health and well-being. This session introduces harm reduction as both a practice approach and a social movement, inviting practitioners and organizations to embrace a more holistic and human rights-based approach to some of life’s most complex issues. Through engaging discussions and real-life examples, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of harm reduction principles and their applications in personal and professional contexts as it applies to substance use, sexual health, and other common “risk” behaviors.
