Moving beyond introductory ethics concepts, Frederic Reamer, Ph.D. will explore complex ethics cases in the behavioral health professions and practical strategies designed to protect clients, practitioners, supervisors, and employers. Key topics will include boundary issues, dual relationships, conflicts of interest, confidentiality, privileged communication, informed consent, clients’ rights, termination of services, and use of technology (to communicate with clients, serve clients remotely, search for information about clients online, and assist clients with artificial intelligence tools), among other topics.
