We will be meeting in the chambers of the Chicago City Council for a conversation with Michael Rodriguez, AM ’07, alderperson of the 22nd Ward, chair of the Chicago Latino Caucus, and a Crown Family School alumnus, and Nubia Willman, director of the city’s Office of New Americans. We will discuss ongoing legislative efforts to support the city’s immigrant communities and others most directly affected by poverty, domestic violence, human trafficking, and employment discrimination.

  • This event is free and open to University of Chicago Crown Family Students.
  • At 8:30am, attendees will meet in the Crown Family School Lobby then, head to the off-campus location.
