Daunte Henderson, LCSW is a clinical social worker, educator, and advocate dedicated to advancing
mental health equity and trauma-informed care. He currently serves as a Lecturer at the University of
Chicago, where he teaches Human Behavior in the Social Environment and Integrative DSM-5
Assessment.
With extensive experience in direct clinical practice, Daunte provides individual, group, and family
therapy, integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and
trauma-informed approaches. He has worked across various settings, including private practice, schools,
and community-based organizations, focusing on marginalized populations.
Beyond his academic and clinical roles, Daunte is committed to developing and implementing culturally
responsive mental health interventions. He has designed social-emotional learning curricula, facilitated
workshops on trauma-informed care, and led community-based initiatives supporting youth and
families.
