Butler, a retired hospital social worker, was a Crown Family School Assistant Professor and Life Member of the Crown Family School Visiting Committee (now the Crown Family School Council).

Paul Colson spent more than 25 years at Columbia University, serving as program director at the Charles P. Felton National Tuberculosis Center and later as an associate research scientist at ICAP.

Beulah R. Compton helped to initiate the first graduate school of social work in Mississippi in 1976.
