A primary goal of this section is to encourage the development of more systematic and empirically-based clinical decision-making, with an emphasis on evidence-based practice (EBP). Students will develop skills to formulate practice questions, to conduct an electronic evidence search, to assess the quality and usefulness of the research, to design an intervention based on this evidence, and to evaluate the effectiveness of this intervention. Students will learn how to evaluate their practice using tools such as logic models and other assessment instruments to monitor progress and outcome, and visual analysis of data graphs.
