Anthony P. Verdino (he/him) is a long-time clinical social worker whose current practice focuses on helping Queer, kink, and poly folks. He is also a PhD candidate at the Crown School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice at University of Chicago. Anthony is presently engaged in dissertation field work with Queer emerging adults involved with drag, burlesque, kink, and other potentially marginalized activities to explore the role of imagination in their everyday lives and experiences of agency, joy, and resistance. He believes that Queer people already hold great knowledge and always already do the work of healing and thrival through Queer world-making and embodying their authentic selves. Anthony enjoys consulting and teaching at the graduate level, including courses on social work practice, marginalized communities, harm reduction, and sexuality and relationships. No less importantly, he works with animal welfare organizations to deploy to disaster and cruelty situations to support the recover, rescue, and rehab of animals.
