Melissa Williams, MSW

Melissa Williams brings experience across social work practice, higher education, student support, and field education. Her professional background includes work in domestic violence services, child welfare, academic advising, and supporting first-generation and historically underrepresented college students.

These experiences have shaped her commitment to creating supportive and meaningful learning environments where students can develop their professional identities and connect classroom learning with social work practice.

Melissa joined the Crown Family School’s Field Education team in 2021 and currently serves as Associate Director of Field Education. In her role, she works collaboratively with students, Field Instructors, Field Consultants, and community partners to strengthen field education experiences and support the development of future social work professionals.

She earned both her Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
