CHAS Event: Aspen Ideas: Climate Chicago
The University of Chicago Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice’s Center for Health Administration Studies (CHAS) serves as an academic partner for Aspen Ideas: Climate Chicago, co-hosting the Health Track of the national convening focused on climate innovation, urban resilience, and public impact. Held at Willis Tower in downtown Chicago, the conference brings together leaders from across policy, research, philanthropy, business, and community practice to explore solutions to today’s most pressing climate challenges.
CHAS Faculty Director Dr. Colleen Grogan will participate in a main-stage panel alongside Dr. Erik Mikaitis, CEO of Cook County Health, and Marshall Hatch Jr., Executive Director of the Maafa Redemption Project and co-founder of the Sankofa Wellness Village. The panel will present CHAS's community micro-grants model as a national example of community-governed climate-health innovation.
