58200Implementation science, defined as “the study of methods to promote the adoption and integration of evidence-based practices, interventions, and policies” (Northridge et al., 2019) into health and social service settings, is critical for bridging the gap between research and practice and for helping to achieve health equity. This course will provide a foundational overview of the key principles, theories, frameworks, and strategies in implementation science, with a focus on achieving health equity for populations, programs, and settings relevant to social work research. Course content will be conveyed through a combination of readings, media, guest speakers, and case-based learning.
