Authentic Social Worker: Cultivating your values-grounded community practice

This seminar style course is designed to be a collaborative, co-constructed space for BIPOC students (full and part time) in their second or higher years of the AM program. This course will focus on the needs and interests of future social workers who VALUE and desire joy, community, and emotional sustainability in their practice. Combining experiential engagement with content on narrative storytelling, values discernment, transformative problem solving, and community care, we will support students as they prepare themselves for entry into the field post graduation. This course will be co-constructed and co-facilitated by S Simmons and Shipra Parikh.
