Bernard “Bernie” Dyme, AM '79

Since co-founding Perspectives in 1981, President and CEO, Bernie Dyme, has helped develop an organization that is committed to delivering the highest quality workplace resource programs possible. He has used his clinical and systems training from the University of Chicago's Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice to provide consulting services to hundreds of organizations and help them develop a balanced approach between cost savings and safe, healthy, productive workplaces. A frequent guest speaker for students in Crown Family School health and administration classes, Mr. Dyme is a member of the Crown Family School Council where he has served since 2009. He has been a member of the scholarship campaign planning committee since 2015 as well as a fundraising and career development volunteer. He is also an active member of more than a dozen professional and community organizations where he continues to use his passion to assist them live productive personally and professionally. Organizations include the Employee Assistance Professionals Association (EAPA), the Society of Human Resource Professionals (SHRM) and the Executives Club of Chicago. He is the current President of the Board of Directors for the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless, and a founding Co-Chair of Allies of Innocence, a Chicago initiative that provides trauma counseling to victims of violence and their families.
Mr. Dyme is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in the state of Illinois with a BS from the University of Illinois and has a Master's degree from the University of Chicago Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice.
