Kevin is a Housing Coordinator at the Sexual Minority Youth Assistance League (SMYAL). He coordinates housing and services for a 20-person rapid rehousing program for queer young folks who have experienced housing instability or have been unhoused. Since 2010, Kevin has worked in Washington, D.C. and the surrounding area with children and young adults, though primarily with young adults, 18 to 24 years old. Kevin has worked in independent living for young adults exiting foster care, IT workforce development for young adults, foster care (therapeutic and traditional), and in services for unhoused young adults. Experience includes working at Latin American Youth Center (LAYC), Year Up, Lutheran Social Services, and Covenant House.
